Club 10 TT Round 10
From Mick –
The skies opened on the 14 hardy souls who turned out for last Friday’s TT, the penultimate round of the series. Despite the difficult and wet conditions, again some good times were ridden, perhaps helped along by the gusting south easterly wind and despite not being able to go full gas on some of the faster parts of the return leg. With one round to go, we have a new series leader, none other than Pat Jennings who seems to have discovered a love of time trialling over a variety of distances this year. He holds a 6 second lead over second placed Ben Carroll, both with 5 rides done. There are some good average times sitting with 4 rides completed so the series is really up for grabs this Friday. Again, I would ask that all riders bring front and rear lights. We are running well before sunset and if the weather is ok, there will be plenty of light but with grey cloud and rain coming in at any time, it just helps to be seen better. There is talk of adjourning to the Red Lion in Bonvilston afterwards with the 12 hour TT crew who will be discussing logistics for their crazy event. The results spreadsheet now looks a little different with some added information about best times, courtesy of Rob Warren and his IT nerd skills.
