Cardiff Ajax do The Rapha Women’s 100

Join the ladies from the Cardiff Ajax cycling club on the 20th July to ride The Rapha Womens 100 starting and finishing at Maindy cycle track. The route is open to club members and non club members alike – all are welcome. It will be a steady ride, going no faster than the pace of the slowest rider, and the group will stay together, we are out to have fun, not break records! The ride will be accompanied by experienced cyclists from the club, and will have at least one stop at a good cafe. We won’t have a support vehicle, but all you need to bring is yourself, a bike that is in good working order, waterproofs, spare inners, pumps, drinks, a snack, and maybe even some sun cream – you never know. The route will be around 110km, and will take us out from Cardiff across the Newport flats, then through Newport, to the flats around Magor, then we will stop for coffee and cake in Chepstow, and those who want to venture across the border will go across the Severn Bridge! We will return via the A48, back to Cardiff. It’s not a hilly ride, but has a few undulations on the route home. We will also have a pint at the end in the Mochyn Ddu pub, for those who fancy it!
